Year 4-6 Blue: Saints (26) vs Wilderness (22)
A good first win for the Saints Blue team! The girls all had an amazing effort game, special mention to Emily scoring 12 points and Ruoyu winning important rebounds. Cannot wait for the season ahead for this team!
Best Player: Ruoyu Chen, Emily Do
Year 4-6 White: Saints (28) vs Pembroke (14)
A great team game from the girls in their first match this term. Also, great spirit as Pembroke only had four players, one girl each quarter volunteered to play for them.
Superwoman: Cindy Zhang, cheering her team on every time she was on the sidelines.
Best Player: Aanya Milan, playing really tough and some great defence against Year 5/6s as a Year 4 player.
Year 4-6 Navy: Saints (8) vs Wilderness (46)
Best Player: Esther He – had some awesome efforts in both attack and defence.
Superwoman: Rania Gao – relentless effort on defence!
AUSSIE RULES
Middle A: Saints (2.2.14) v Westminster (7.9.51)
It was a new game for many of the girls, but they were eager to learn and listen, and the Senior players stepped up to lead beautifully. It was especially impressive after a big day at Sports Day! We had three team objectives this game: to hold hand-balling space, no more than three players to a ball and to have controlled kicks land in front. Lots to learn, but the girls have great energy, and they certainly have a lot of potential.
Best Player: Gracie Calvert – led the midfield and encouraged the whole team, offering voice and direction.
Superwoman: Maisy Ion – who played her first game, was the hardest worker, diligently listening to coach feedback and securing an excellent mark in defence.
Senior B: Saints: won on forfeit

It was a close one, and it was an entertaining contest with some excellent rallies.
Senior E Silver: Saints (1/1/77) vs Wilderness (6/6/11)
A tough one for the girls. Yu Thong was very unlucky not to win her singles and there were some very competitive rallies in a lot of these matches that did not show in the scores. Keep going girls!

Well done to the girls on their first ever game of netball for the School! There were so many great highlights during the game where the girls positioned themselves well in order to make a lead or even intercept a pass from the opposition. Great to see everyone enjoying their first game for the season!

Senior D Blue: Saints (20) vs Seymour (43):
Best Player: Izzy McCabe played well through the mid court and then starred in goals in the second half, which is not her usual position.
Superwoman: Amelia Sutherland – had to reign in her Aussie Rules skills, which saw her out of play quite a bit early. But once she did, she showed great determination in defence and had an excellent three feet while defending the shot.
Senior D White: Saints (21) vs Seymour (14)
Best Player: Asha Eaton was outstanding in defence, using fast footwork to work around her player and get into excellent positions. She took several clean intercepts and as always, was a very positive voice showing encouragement to her teammates
Superwoman: Emily Conti is new to netball but showed she will be an asset to the team. Emily shone in goals, using her basketball skills to weave in and out of the circle/key and scored many goals.

Awesome team effort by all and solid performance for our first game this season. Looking forward to building on our strong effort today into next week!
Best Player: Olivia Black – for swapping from her usual position of circle defence and playing the entire match down in goals.
Year 8A: Saints (22) vs Concordia (34):
It was a highly contested match with many positive takeaways. Defensively, the team won plenty of ball and worked tirelessly to transition it into attack. In the attacking end, the girls created space well, led strongly to the ball, and secured numerous offensive rebounds. With only 6 players available we were grateful to have support from Mimi Birmingham and Vanessa Barnes from the 7A team, who each played half a game at a higher level. Their contributions were greatly appreciated and made a significant impact on the team’s performance.
Best Players: Anisha Pahuja and Ruby Pahuja
