Choral Night Adjudicators
We are excited to announce that Katrina Ryan and Martine Quigley are this year’s Choral Night adjudicators.
Katrina Ryan is an accomplished singer and vocal educator with over 30 years of excellence in performance and teaching. As a solo jazz artist and lead vocalist of Adelaide’s Etypejazz, she has toured extensively, released several albums, and performed at landmark events including G’Day USA, National Jazz Festivals, Adelaide Cabaret and Fringe Festivals and with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
Katrina’s professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Music, Master of Teaching, Estill Master Trainer certification, and qualifications in Neurochange and Neurohealth. Her niche credentials are purpose built to elevate and transform vocal artistry and unlock vocal potential.
Based in Kensington, Katrina proudly operates her own personalised vocal studio, where she inspires individuals to discover their unique voice and thrive as performers.
In 2024, Katrina was appointed adjunct voice lecturer at Flinders University Drama Centre, applying the Estill Voice Training model to train the next generation of actors. Katrina is also currently the South Australian President of The Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Martine Quigley is a choreographer, performer, and educator with training from Barbara Jayne Dance Centre (Adelaide), Broadway Dance Center (New York), and Sydney Dance Company.
Her performance highlights include The Late Show with David Letterman, Top 30 Madonna, Top 60 Janet Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, Hans International Superstar (choreographer), Enchanted (Disney), Law and Order, Fatman Scoop, Grammy’s Make The Music, the Adelaide Strikers and Cricket Australia.
Martine is on faculty at Adelaide University as a Jazz and Tap Assessor for the Bachelor of Music Theatre and has taught and lectured for the Jazz and Tap Diploma of Music Theatre (GWB) for a number of years. Martine owned and directed studios; Martine Quigley Dance Education and Inlight Dance Studios. She has developed SACE and Pre-SACE dance programs for these institutions, and written the secondary dance curriculum for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College. Martine has been on regular faculty positions at Scotch College, St Aloysius and Pulteney Grammar School.
Her performance and choreographic experience includes live theatre, cruise ships, film, television, examinations, competitions, curriculum development, and arts advocacy. She has served as a board member of Ausdance and has been a full-time dance competition judge touring the USA for six seasons.
Since 2016, Martine has led weekly mindfulness and meditation sessions for children, teens, and young adults in Australia, now expanding globally under her new initiative, Me In Here.
