Best player again goes to Ruby, who worked extremely hard to bring the ball through the mid court and into the circle, where she shot accurately. Eliza stood a tall shooter and was able to turn the ball over numerous times. It was a physically hard game, but the girls tried hard and did not give up.

The girls had a huge win over Immanuel. Layla was a steady and driving force in WA, while Imogen showed she can shoot, defend and attack, and accept any direction with grace.

Despite not getting the win, the girls put together a strong performance. With usual shooters missing, everyone adapted well and worked hard in unfamiliar positions. The ball moved smoothly down the court and the team created plenty of opportunities.

National Football Selection for Aleesha Gray

Congratulations to Year 11 student Aleesha Gray on her selection in the CommBank Junior Matildas squad for an upcoming domestic training camp at Valentine Sports Park.
Aleesha is one of just 27 players selected by Head Coach Michael Cooper as the CommBank Junior Matildas begin preparations for the 2027 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup in China. The training camp will bring together some of Australia’s most talented young footballers and forms an important part of the national team’s pathway towards future international competition.
To be selected to wear the green and gold is a tremendous honour and recognition of Aleesha’s talent, dedication and commitment to her sport. Her selection places her among the next generation of Australian footballers striving to represent their country on the international stage.
We are incredibly proud of Aleesha’s achievement and delighted to celebrate this exciting milestone with her. As football captures the attention of fans around the world, we look forward to following Aleesha’s journey and wish her every success as she continues to pursue her dreams in Australian football.
Aerobics – FISAF State Championships
Our Saints aerobics athletes recently competed in the FISAF State Championships at Walford, showcasing the results of months of hard work, dedication and preparation. Since their previous competition, the girls have worked tirelessly to refine their routines, develop their skills and improve their technique, and their support and encouragement for one another throughout the event was wonderful to witness.
With the opportunity to qualify for the FISAF National Championships on the Gold Coast this September, our athletes approached the competition with determination and confidence. While not all teams secured qualification, every athlete should be incredibly proud of the growth, resilience and commitment they have demonstrated throughout the season.

Golf – State Team Selection
Congratulations to Scarlett Parker on her outstanding performance at the SA Secondary Schools Golf Championship final, where she finished in second place.
As a result of this impressive achievement, Scarlett has been selected to represent South Australia at the National Secondary Schools Championships, to be held in Victoria this August.
We congratulate Scarlett on this significant accomplishment and wish her every success as she prepares to compete on the national stage.

Hocket: State and School Sport Selections
Congratulations to our talented Saints hockey players on their recent representative selections, recognising their dedication, skill and commitment to the sport.
U16 State Team
Claris Stolcman has been selected in the training squad for the South Australian Under 16 State Team.
This selection is a wonderful recognition of Claris’ hard work, perseverance, and performances throughout the season. Being chosen as part of the State Team pathway is a significant achievement and provides an exciting opportunity to further develop skills alongside some of South Australia’s most promising young hockey players.
We congratulate Claris on this achievement and wish her every success throughout the State Team program.
U18 State Team (July School Holidays)
Matilda Patterson has been selected as a player in the South Australian Under 18 State Team.
Matilda’s achievement reflects not only her talent and commitment to the sport, but also her outstanding leadership. Through her captaincy and leadership of the school team, she has consistently demonstrated dedication, teamwork and excellence both on and off the field.
This selection is made even more impressive by Matilda’s long-standing record of State representation every year since the age of 10, highlighting her sustained performance and commitment over many years.
U18 State Team Assistant Coach
Phoebe Lucas has been appointed Assistant Coach of the South Australian Under 18 State Team travelling to Darwin for the National Championships in July.
This appointment is particularly significant, as it is the first time Hockey SA has offered a developmental coaching role to a player within this age group. Working alongside the coaching staff, Phoebe will contribute to team culture and leadership initiatives, assist with pre- and post-game briefings, and support game coding and video analysis.
This exciting opportunity recognises Phoebe’s strong leadership qualities, hockey knowledge and commitment to the sport. Hockey SA views Phoebe as an important leader within this age group and is supporting her continued development as she prepares to return to future playing and leadership roles.
We congratulate Phoebe on this outstanding achievement and wish her every success in Darwin.
School Sport SA U15 Team
Antra Docherty has been selected to represent South Australia in the School Sport Australia 15 Years and Under National Hockey Championship, to be held in Melbourne in late July.
Selected as a 13-year-old in the Under 15 team, Antra will compete alongside talented secondary school athletes from across Australia in one of the nation’s premier school sporting events.
A striker for Adelaide Hockey Club, Antra is currently the leading goal scorer in the Under 16 Metro competition. Her selection is a testament to her dedication, skill and outstanding performances throughout the season.
This will be Antra’s fourth time representing South Australia at a national championship, and she is excited for the opportunity to once again compete on the national stage and represent her state with pride.
We wish Antra every success in Melbourne and look forward to following her journey.

Diving – SA State Age Championships
Congratulations to Ellie Knight on her excellent performance at the SA State Age Championships. Competing in both the 1-metre springboard and Level 3 platform events, Ellie demonstrated impressive skill, determination and composure throughout the competition.
Her strong performances earned her a bronze medal, a fantastic achievement at the state level and a testament to her hard work and dedication to the sport.
We are incredibly proud of Ellie’s success and look forward to following her future achievements in diving.
