A Joyful Introduction to Reception
Our Mid-Year Reception transition visits have provided a wonderful opportunity for the girls to become familiar with their new learning environment and begin building meaningful connections with both new and familiar friends. These visits are an important step in supporting a smooth and positive transition into school life, helping each girl develop a strong sense of belonging while feeling safe, valued and nurtured.
Throughout the visits, the girls have enthusiastically engaged in a range of carefully planned learning experiences designed to spark curiosity, creativity and confidence. It has been a delight to see them explore their new classroom spaces, participate in activities with such excitement.
Transition experiences play a vital role in helping children feel comfortable and confident as they embark on their formal schooling journey. By becoming familiar with routines, expectations and learning spaces, the girls are already developing the confidence needed to take this exciting next step.
We have been incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, resilience and joy the girls have demonstrated during their visits. Watching them embrace new experiences with such confidence has been truly heartwarming.
What a wonderful way to begin their school journey at St Peter’s Girls’ School. We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming them back soon and seeing them proudly wearing their ‘big school’ uniform as they officially commence Mid Year Reception.

Finding Nemo JR. Takes Shape as Year 5 Students Dive into Rehearsals
The excitement is building as our Year 5 students continue preparing for their upcoming production of Finding Nemo JR.
Over the weeks, the girls have excitedly been working through rehearsals and are now halfway through the script. From learning lines and refining dance routines to perfecting musical numbers, the cast has embraced every opportunity to bring this beloved story to life on stage.
Their dedication was on full display during a recent weekend rehearsal, where students gave their all, spending Saturday immersed in singing, dancing and teamwork. The energy, commitment and enthusiasm shown by the girls has been wonderful to see, and their hard work is already paying off.
Adding to the excitement, costumes are now underway, helping to transform the colourful underwater world of Finding Nemo JR. into reality.
We cannot wait to share this production with the Saints community and showcase all that our talented Year 5 students have been working so hard to achieve.
