News from Learning Community 2
This week, we were very fortunate to welcome the RAP Ambassadors from the Middle School to unveil the Acknowledgement of Country plaque they helped to create. The entire ELC community gathered in the Piazza to mark this exciting and meaningful occasion.
The children proudly sang a welcome song in the Kaurna language and shared our Acknowledgement of Country with the wider community. The plaque, thoughtfully designed and created by the RAP Ambassadors, stands as a visible reminder of our commitment to reconciliation and respect for First Nations peoples and cultures.
Throughout the year, the RAP Ambassadors regularly visit the ELC, not only during Reconciliation Week, to share their knowledge of First Nations cultures and support the embedding of reconciliation pedagogies in age-appropriate and meaningful ways. They have become valued role models within our community, with many children developing strong connections with them and recognising them as important members of our broader School community.
Our ongoing relationship with these older students has provided another meaningful way for us to explore our central idea: Community can grow through communication, shared ideas, and coming together. Through these interactions, children continue to experience the importance of belonging, collaboration, and learning from one another across different ages and stages of life.

ELC Vacation Care Bookings – Now Open!

School holidays are around the corner, so if you would like your child to attend ELC during this time, please click the button below to book online. Due to limited spaces, please book early! Late bookings and changes after this date will incur a late booking fee.
ELC Vacation Care will run from Monday 29 June until Monday 20 July 2026.
Our holiday planning builds and expands on the learning that has been happening across the term. Our Vacation Care Leaders, Valentina Fernandes from Learning Community 1, and Catherine Jiang from Learning Community 2, plan closely with Caterina Pennestri, our Pedagogical Coordinator and classroom teachers so that they can implement engaging learning experiences that transition seamlessly into Vacation Care.
What to bring to Vacation Care
During Vacation Care, children are required to wear their ELC uniform to support consistency and continuity throughout the school year. Our ELC uniform provides a smart and cohesive look, simplifies the routine of getting dressed in the morning, and promotes a sense of belonging. Children will need to bring their hat, water bottle, and a change of clothes each day. A healthy morning and afternoon tea, lunch, and late snack will continue to be provided to children.
