FROM OUR HEAD OF JUNIOR SCHOOL

eNews |

The Junior School is buzzing with excitement as our girls enjoy a range of special events and excursions to celebrate a wonderful school year. Recently, our youngest learners sparkled with Christmas joy at our Reception Christmas Assembly and Years 1 and 2 Nativity, showcasing their creativity, growing confidence, and blossoming performance skills. Today, we held our Year 6 Graduation, a heartfelt milestone that celebrates academic achievement, personal growth, friendship, and precious memories created in the Junior School.

End-of-year class excursions and our much-anticipated Step-Up Day have filled our final weeks with infectious smiles and gratitude. I sincerely thank our fabulous teaching staff who have created exceptional learning opportunities for our students. We also thank our many Junior School volunteers and the beautiful School community for continued support throughout 2024.

I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Liz Sandercock on her well-deserved retirement. After a stellar career and 25 years of dedicated service at Saints Girls, we sincerely thank Liz for her outstanding contributions and teaching in the Junior School. We also wish Lucy Wareham and Emma Sippe the very best as they embark on new career journeys in 2025 and fondly thank them for their wonderful teaching.

As the school year and our 130th anniversary draws to a close, we reflect on the remarkable legacy of our founding Sisters. Their unwavering commitment to girls’ education and faithful service continues to inspire and shape us, guiding our School now and into the future. It has been a wonderful year of celebration that will conclude with our cherished Carols in the Cathedral, and Presentation Night next week. I hope to see you then and wish all families a wonderful festive season and a joyous Christmas and holiday break.
