In Reception, we are inquiring into the way that ‘Places can be special to people for a variety of reasons.’ We are carefully observing the construction of the new building and have been visiting to draw and record what we have noticed. There has been a lot of interest in the materials that are being used, and we have seen bricks, concrete and metal. We could smell strong glue. And we have seen so many shapes! The best part was when we waved to the builders and they waved back! We are looking forward to being able to use this special place when we are in Year 1.

Dear Junior School Families,

On Tuesday 17 June, we will be holding a Cyber Safety Information Session for all Junior School families (Reception to Year 6) to be held in the Jeffreys Linn Arts Centre at 6pm.

The session will be run by Cybersafe Families, a provider endorsed by the eSafety Commissioner, who will share the latest research and best practice approaches to online safety education for families. The presentation will include practical strategies and useful guides to help make home environments cyber safe.

The parent information session will include:

  • Introduction to the most popular and current social media platforms
  • Tools to recognise and manage cyber bullying
  • Information about online grooming and other risks
