ROWING

2025 March West Lakes Regatta

Although it may have been a long weekend, our crews raced on Saturday 8 March – the last regatta of the season before Head of the River is the last chance for crews to prepare under race conditions!

Well-done to the Intermediate squad on a strong win in the U17W8+! Their enthusiasm for that event all season has been admirable, especially their excitement to row as one unified crew. Saturday was also the first regatta for July Fang who (along with Cleo Connor) competed in the U17W2x – congratulations July on your completing your first race!

The Seniors produced strong performances, with the 1st 8+ continuing their preparations for Head of the River and with the 1st 4+ performing particularly strongly. It was impressive to see the 4+ overtaking crews that have had their number previously, and back-to-back 2nd places in the SG4+ and U19W4+ bode well for the coming weekend.

The 2025 SA Schools’ Head of the River is on this Saturday 15 March (Week 7) – we hope we can look forward to seeing the Saints Girls community out in number to support our students!
