Best Player: Claire Lucas played with great effort on both ends of the floor. Showed some confidence in dribbling and getting rebounds against much taller girls!
Superwoman: Almira, improving every game! Did a great job of blocking shots and getting rebounds.

Year 3 Netta: Saints (0) vs Seymour (17)
Whilst the score line may not reflect this, we’re so proud of the girls for their defensive efforts throughout the game. So many exciting moments when our girls were able to claim possession with careful watching of the ball and their player. So excited to see Zoe attacking the ball throughout the game. Charlotte’s bounce passes were strong and effective. Mackenzie worked hard to make space and lead for the ball.. Well done to everyone!!

Year 5/6 Navy: Saints (28) vs Scotch (17)
This was a well-contested game, with the score sitting at 3-4 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the girls began to find their rhythm, taking a two-goal lead. Their third quarter performance was particularly impressive, with every player contributing significantly to transitioning the ball seamlessly from defence into attack, scoring 10 goals to Scotch 2.
Best Players: Hara had a standout performance in defence, setting a new personal record for the number of interceptions in a single game. Evie was the leading goal scorer and delivered her best performance to date.
Superwomen: Penny Coulter and Molly Burnett for their reliability on court, strong and accurate feeds into the ring, and consistent defensive pressure through the midcourt, helping convert turnovers into scoring opportunities.

Best Player: Asha Eaton dominated in defence with great footwork and positioning. Also a great presence in attack, with great drive down court.
Superwoman: Georgie Williams got thrown into the centre and was apprehensive at first, but found her groove and played a really solid quarter with good support for teammates.

Tough match but great resilience shown by all. Shout out to Chloe for her tireless effort in defence as well as always being the first to put her hand up to play for the game after.

Year 9D: Saints (8) vs Immanuel (35)
A hard match for the girls but the effort from everyone was incredible and kept it up the entire game. Shout out to Evie for her effort running back and forward up the court in C and Anna for her fantastic shooting!

Year 8A: Saints (23) vs Westminster (62)
It was an extremely tough and challenging game, and understandably, a few of the girls found it difficult to stay positive. That said, there were still some strong individual performances worth highlighting. Ruby had a standout game, scoring the majority of our goals and working hard in the circle. Evie was exceptional in her versatility, seamlessly switching between attack and defence. She picked up some brilliant intercepts and had a real impact on the game. Off the court, she also showed strong leadership by leading the warm-up and proudly delivering the Reconciliation speech.

Year 3/4 Blue: Saints (1) vs Pulteney (1)
Best Player: Maeve was amazing as striker, always keen to attack and took every opportunity for a goal. She was our goal scorer! Maddie played a fantastic game in defence. She was a key player against the Pultney side, limiting their opportunities to score.

Year 3/4 White: Saints (0) vs St Michaels (1)
Best Players: Georgia and Alyssa Georgia was spectacular in defence! She helped move the ball forward, making multiple clearances throughout the game. Not only did Alyssa make some very clean passes, but whenever the opposition had possession, she showed great determination and resilience, refusing to give up.
Superwoman: Mia stepped up and offered to be goalie for the second half of the game when no one else wanted to. She did an incredible job, saving the ball on numerous occasions.

Amazing job this week girls! Super proud of all your efforts. The girls took on feedback from last week’s game and implemented new strategies this week to ensure the ball was kept away from our goalkeeper. Shoutout to Lily Forby, Zalia Valmorbia, Sandithi Pussellage and Jan Wagaraachi who worked closely together to score two goals for our team. There has been massive across-the-board improvement from our team and I am super proud of all the girls 🙂

Caitlyn Heads to Badminton Nationals

Congratulations to Caitlyn Ling as she prepares for the Australian National Badminton championships in July, she we will be traveling to Melbourne to compete in the AIA Junior Circuit U-15 tournament. As most of Australia’s and New Zealand’s top Juniors will be competing, it will give Caitlyn a great opportunity for some great match practise! Congratulations Caitlyn – we will be cheering for you!

Charlotte Crowned SA Junior Sportsperson of the Year

Congratulations to Charlotte McAuliffe, who won Athletics SA Junior Sportsperson of the Year (Female) last Friday night at their annual awards ceremony. This tops off a phenomenal year of athletics for Charlotte and is such well-deserved recognition of all of the hard work that she puts in. Well done Charlotte, we are so proud!
