Ready to Shine at Generations in Jazz
There’s something incredibly special about the lead-up to Generations in Jazz, and this year is no exception. We are thrilled for our students who will take to the stage this weekend at one of the most celebrated music festivals.
Held from May 1 to May 3 in Mount Gambier, the festival promises an inspiring program of performances, workshops, and competitions. Iconic venues including the James Morrison Pavilion and The Barn Palais will come alive with the energy and talent of young musicians from across the country.
In the lead-up to this much-anticipated event, our girls have been rehearsing with great enthusiasm and dedication, fine-tuning their performances for what is sure to be a memorable weekend. Earlier this week, the girls shared their progress at a special lunchtime concert, delighting our School with a preview of the music, spirit and passion they will bring to the festival stage.
- Esperanza will be entering the Division 1 Small Jazz Choir category.
- Stage Band will compete in Division 2, placing us among only two all-girls bands at this level nationally.
- Combo Band will also compete in Division 2, marking the first time we have entered a Combo Band at Generations in Jazz.
We wish our students every success as they represent Saints Girls with pride. It is an exciting opportunity to perform, connect and be inspired!
