Story of the Cross
Over the last two weeks in chapel, we have journeyed through what is known as Holy Week, the last week of Jesus’ life. Our services have followed Jesus’ journey from his triumphal entry as King into Jerusalem, we have seen his humility and love on display as he washed the feet of his disciples, to his death and then his resurrection.
One of the annual highlights of this season is the Story of the Cross service. A beautiful service, led by the orchestra and choir, that retells the story of Jesus’ final hours before his death. This is always such a moving service, and it was no different this week. Presenting the story within such a beautiful piece of music creates space for personal reflection – a significant part of the Easter season.
