Year 8s get Lost in Time

The whole Year 8 cohort presented Lost In Time last Friday night. This production was a very special one, completely student devised and created. I am always so proud of this project, and so are the students each year. The way they collaborate, encourage each other, take risks and work within a specific time frame is amazing! Students select an Arts area they are most passionate about, from acting, choreographing, tech, costume design, playing music and more! Thank you to the wonderful Arts staff involved – Joni Combe, Kat Kitching, Robyn Habel and Kirsten Mansfield. It’s always a busy and hectic process, but so much fun and rich learning happens for our students.

Year 9 Drama Performances – ‘Reimagined’

Last week, our talented Year 9 Drama students took to the stage, presenting four entertaining self-devised plays that delighted lunchtime audiences. Each play ‘reimagined’ a well-known story, using a specific dramatic style—Melodrama, Realism, Greek Chorus, or Epic Theatre. The students showcased their creativity and skill, expertly weaving their assigned styles into engaging performances. The audience was thoroughly entertained, laughing and applauding throughout the show. A big congrats to our Year 9 Drama students for their hard work and creativity!

Friends of the Arts

The Friends of the Arts (FOA) is an energetic community of parent volunteers focused on supporting the exceptional arts programs and staff at Saints Girls. Through our fundraising efforts, such as running the popular FOA bar at arts events and hosting the annual Ladies Night at the Movies, we contribute to the purchase of special items to bring extra value and unique opportunities to enrich the student experience.

We warmly welcome new members at any time. Whether you can help on the FOA bar once a year or want to be more involved, we’d love to have you on board. It’s a great way to learn more about the many opportunities on offer and meet other parents across year levels. If you’d like to get involved or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via Fiona McGregor, Events and Community Relations Officer, at fmcgregor@stpetersgirls.sa.edu.au.
