Our last game of positional rotations before we move to playing in our strongest areas saw us put in a great effort against a strong opposition. Our one-on-one defence was on point, and our shoulder passes continue to improve. We had shots on goal in every quarter and saw some lovely feeding and goalie-to-goalie work. Sia was solid, playing a full game of centre. She ran hard all game, provided options both in attack and defence and fed to our goalies beautifully. After taking a nasty tumble during the warmup, Nina regrouped to come on and play half a game. Despite being sore, her effort was outstanding and she even shot a goal for the team. Well done Nina.

The Year 8C Blue team brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm as they took on Westminster this week. With the scores tied at half-time, the girls responded brilliantly, working hard to improve their clearing, apply pressure through their hands-over defence and cover space. It was an exceptional team performance, with high spirits and determination shown throughout the game. Congratulations to the team on remaining undefeated for the season!
Hannah delivered an outstanding performance, playing both in defence and in the shooting circle. She was a reliable presence on court and someone her teammates could always count on. Hannah’s positive attitude set a fantastic example for the team to follow. Supported well by the hardworking mid-court players, she shot accurately and confidently, while also making a significant impact in defence with countless interceptions. Great work, Hannah!
Jasmine had an experimental game in the mid court, consistently seeking feedback and applying it immediately within the game. Jasmine worked tirelessly to win the ball back and went above and beyond in cheering from the side lines! They played brilliantly and showed outstanding sportswomanship, and the girls were appreciative of their generosity in assisting our team. Scarlett played an outstanding game in the shooting circle. She has shown significant improvement over recent weeks and worked exceptionally well with Emily, varying their drives and creating strong attacking opportunities. Her confidence and movement in the circle were a highlight of the game. Gracie delivered a standout performance in defence, taking control of the circle and staying tight on her opponent. She intercepted the ball on countless occasions and had a huge impact defensively. Her efforts didn’t stop there, as she also contributed with strong drives down the court. Great work, Gracie!
