All of the girls played really well with lots of team spirit and camaraderie observed. It was a great way to end Saturday tennis for Term 1 with a win, especially for Jerrie and Mabel, who won’t be returning in Term 4. The girls also have won all matches throughout the season, so they all get a special mention!
Best Players: Olivia Clarke, Mabel Cook, Luna Dou, Nicole He, Taylor Muldoon, Ishana Roy and Jerrie Wu.

Senior Div 4.1: Saints (7/43) vs Scotch (2/18)
Another good result for the girls. It is pleasing to see the attendance has improved over the past few weeks and equally pleasing to see the improvement in their games since the beginning of the term.

Great effort from everyone. Janika was excellent in defence and it was good to see Millie and Scarlett gain good ground with buddies up the midfield. Julia was excellent through the middle with her signature move scooping from half and running through the defence. Mia weaved her magic stepping around her defenders to score.
Best Players: Mila Fassina and Julia Yang.

Senior A: Saints (2) vs Pembroke (4)
Best Players: Lucy Lowry

Senior B: Saints (1) vs Mercedes (6)
The girls had a tough match today, Mercedes were very switched on, well structured and fast with their ball movement. We seemed a bit flat with energy and just could not fully switch on. We will be working on moving the ball at pace, taking metres quickly and communication in the lead up to our next match. Special mention to Ellie for a huge chase and try saving touch.
Best Player: Ellie Webber

VOLLEYBALL

Year 6: Saints (2/65) vs Seymour (1/65)
Friday afternoons are always a challenge for the girls to stay focused, but after feeling the sting of losing the first set, something clicked. The girls switched on, each one more eager than the next to step up and serve. We showcased some great volleyball, but we were caught flat-footed at times on serve reception. I spoke to the girls about being proactive — wanting the ball, playing the game, not just watching it. The girls have been fantastic all season and remain unbeaten!
Best Player: Rosedale Li gave a standout performance, she consistently won us points with her strong serving.

Year 4/5 Blue: Saints (1/55) vs St Aloysius (2/66)
The girls did such an excellent job, it was truly their best game yet, and it’s so wonderful to see how much they have improved over the season so far.
Best Players: Helena Bernatowicz and Rania Gao. Today’s superwomen were Helena Bernatowicz, for her flawless serving and great movement on court and Rania Gao, also for her serving and her support for the team, always providing backup for the other players. Special mention to Angelique and Thea as well, for both getting their first-ever serves over the net! Well done to all the girls.

Year 4/5 White: Saints (2/62) vs Loreto (1/55)
Best Player: Arie Hobart

Senior A: Saints (1/52) vs Wilderness (2/63)
Best Player: Annabel Keough

Senior B: Saints (2/56) vs Wilderness (0/42)
Best Player: Naomi Meng

Senior C: Saints (1/70) vs Walford (2/69)
Best Players: Annabel Bamford and Meryem Eksi.

Senior D Blue: Saints (0/33) vs Walford (3/75)
Best Players: Grace Davies and Isabel Huynh.

Middle A: Saints (1/47) vs Wilderness (2/56)
The Middle A girls played a phenomenal game today, far exceeding expectations. Once again, they were the better team, playing the better volleyball, though the result didn’t quite go our way. The progress these girls have made since the start of the term has been exponential, and their skills and confidence will only continue to grow. Even if the scoreboard isn’t reflecting it just yet, this team is on an upward trajectory. If they continue to train hard and play with the passion they show week in and week out, they’ll be a force to watch moving forward!
Best Player: A standout performance from Aoife Carty, who stepped into a different position for a set and still impressed with her strong offensive abilities.

Middle B: Saints (1/65) vs Wilderness (2/72)
The Middle B girls have been a strong serving side all year, though they continue to find it challenging to move their feet and get to the ball. That said, they have shown great growth and improvement throughout the term. Today, they hit an important milestone. Unexpectedly, we made a tactical change halfway through the first set, which brought some confusion, particularly in serve reception. However, this shift was necessary. Volleyball at a social level often looks like players rotating and doing whatever they can for the team, but the girls have now stepped into the world of competitive volleyball, where every player has a specialised role and purpose on the court.
Best Player: A special mention to Sophie Wiggins, who once again showed her strength as a server, delivering over 10 aces in a row with her underarm serve and stepping up even more with powerful overarm serves. Despite the scoreboard, the Bs played a highly entertaining and passionate match.

Middle C Blue: Saints (2/51) vs Pembroke (0/43)
Superwoman: Aarvi Bhushan
Best Player: Hayley Lucas

Middle C White: Saints (3/75) vs Wilderness 0/53

Middle C Silver: Saints (3/75) vs Pembroke 0/45
Superwoman: Amelia Jenzen
Best Player: Alexandra Teh

Middle C Sky: Saints (0/42) vs Wilderness (3/75)
Superwoman : Sophie Blake. Sophie was exceptional in lifting team spirits as she always cheered at the end of each point regardless of what happened. She was also a great listener and carefully took in all the feedback we gave her which was positive in her playing.
Best Player: Joshitaa Reddy. Joshita had consistent serves and always went for the ball. She had an impressive serving streak. She took in all feedback and her team could always count on her to get the ball over. She was fierce in her attacks, and we could see that she never gives up.

Middle C Navy: Saints (0/55) vs Pembroke (3/78)
Superwoman: Ellen Li
Best Player: Alcie Black
