Stage 1 Drama / IB Theatre

The Stage 1 and 2 SACE Drama course requires students to form a Theatre Company with a purpose and vision for their work over their two years of study. This company functions much like a production company in the “real world” where the company members decide on a shared mission and values, and seek to develop dramatic work that reflects these.

I am very proud to introduce the Drama and Theatre Production company for 2025-2026:

Aftershocks Productions: Creating theatre that resonates long after the curtain falls—bold, thought-provoking, and impossible to ignore. Like an aftershock, our work shifts perspectives, shakes expectations, and stirs the soul.

Our Core Values:
Community & Conversation – We believe theatre is a catalyst for discussion, action, and change.
Bold Storytelling – We embrace powerful narratives that challenge, provoke, and inspire.
Impact & Resonance – We create work that lingers in the hearts and minds of our audiences.

Our company is currently made up of nine students (with a view to expand as students join us next semester and next year): Grace Brockhouse, Lyra Cox, Lilly Cramp, Angelina DiMauro, Alexandra Hasda-Hall, Octavia Parkinson, Chiara Ranasinghe, Eve Riley-Male, and Adjoa Yawson.

Our first performance as a Company, the Stage 1 Drama and IB Production of Trap by Stephen Gregg, will be performed on Tuesday 8 April  at 7pm. This documentary theatre performance explores the events of a tragedy that took place in a small-town Californian theatre last year. Do you want to know the secret?

Due to the refurbishment of the seating in the Jeffreys Linn Arts Centre, we will most likely be performing at the Holden Street Theatres – look out for more information and a confirmation of venue in future communications!
