Ponytail Project 2025

On 1 April, Middle and Senior School students will participate in the Ponytail Project, a Cancer Council initiative, by cutting off their ponytails to raise funds for cancer research and support services. Ponytails will then be donated to Sustainable Salons to be made into wigs for people undergoing cancer treatment.

For many students, this project holds personal significance as they are aware of the firsthand challenges posed by cancer and are motivated to contribute to finding treatments for the disease. The initiative fosters a strong sense of community by promoting the value of giving back and supporting the wider community through the collective action.

To support our fundraising efforts, donations of any amount can be made through the Cancer Council website (link provided below). Contributions can be directed to specific participants or the team as a whole, with every donation directly benefitting cancer research as well as families affected by the disease.

Thank you for your support.
