Junior String Quartet Shines on National Radio
Congratulations to our outstanding Junior String Quartet, who delivered a remarkable performance for Recitals Australia, in a concert broadcast nationally on radio.
Under the direction of Mr Thomas Marlin, our Strings Ensemble Director, and with the support of accompanist Won Jung Lee on piano, the students represented St Peter’s Girls’ School with exceptional poise, musicianship and professionalism.
The quartet featured Grace Ooi (Year 7) on lead violin, Mathea Zhong (Year 6) on violin II, Airel Guo (Year 7) and Esther He (Year 7). Together, the ensemble performed with maturity and artistry well beyond their years, showcasing the strength of our Junior Strings program.
In addition to their ensemble performance, each student also impressed audiences with individual performances that highlighted their diverse musical talents. Grace Ooi performed on soprano saxophone, demonstrating her versatility as a young musician. Mathea Zhong presented a piano solo with confidence and musical sensitivity. Aerial Guo captivated listeners with an outstanding classical vocal performance, while Esther He delivered a beautifully crafted Bach Prelude with elegance and precision.
We are incredibly proud of these talented young musicians and congratulate them on this wonderful achievement. Their dedication, hard work and love of music were evident throughout the performance, and they represented the Saints Girls community with distinction.
Bravo to Grace, Mathea, Aerial and Esther, and thank you to Mr Marlin and Won Jun Lee for their guidance and support in helping our students achieve such a memorable success.
Ada Wang (Year 8) and Emily Wu (Year 9) also performed in the previous two weeks, meaning Saints Girls was represented three weeks in a row, a first for Recitals Australia.
See the link below to watch all three brilliant performances. Congratulations to all our amazing musicians.

Come Along to the Year 12 Production – The Domino Effect

The Stage 2 Drama class of 2026 is excited to present their major theatrical production, ’The Domino Effect’ by Fin Kennedy.
The play explores the interconnectedness of the world around us, where characters, objects and events create unlimited sequences of cause and effect. Amina, a young girl who chooses to withdraw from the harshness of society, creates a magical world of imagination and fantasy to shield herself from reality.
The production will be staged on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 18 of June at 7pm, with a special matinee performance on Thursday at 2pm, in the Jefferys Linn Arts Centre. Seating is general admission and there is no cost or bookings required to attend.
We would love to see our community there to support the students in their assessment. Please save the date for this magical, heartwarming piece of theatre, which we hope will stay with you long after the curtain falls.
