Best Player: Evie Slade was strong in each position she was thrown into. Valued possession and made good decisions.
Superwomen: Eliza Phillips works so hard and plays her role every week, and Ave Bembridge, in a morning that threw lots of curveballs at us, Ava remained positive and encouraged her team.

Best Player: Penny Coulter was very strong as centre, driving well down the court. She made great decisions with her passes and fed the goalies beautifully. She had a real impact and turned lots of balls when put into circle defence (not her usual position) Well done Pen!
Superwoman: Maddie Andrews footwork is getting better and better each week! She played half in goal (not where she usually plays) and was outstanding! She moved well and shot some great goals. Maddie was using BEEF, which we’d practiced at training.

Best Player: Monica Isaac, was phenomenal in attack surging forward with the strikers and moving down the wings. She created multiple opportunities and was rewarded with a goal for her efforts.
Superwoman: Misha Yagnik and Angelina Hii both put their hands up to put on the goalkeeper’s gloves for a half, neither having ever kept before! Both showed courage in this unfamiliar role and made some great saves.
Middle A: Saints (1) v Mercedes Middle A (8)
Middle B: Saints (4) v Wilderness (1)
Best Player: Zalia Valmorbida for attacking runs, holding possession, winning challenges and scoring goals.
Superwoman: Neffy David had good aggression and commitment in central defence making lots of big tackles and clearance forward.
Special mention goes to Sandra and Jesse for putting their hands up for goalkeeper. They both did really well.

Soccer Team’s Convincing Win at Winter Intercol
Intercol Round kicked off with a bang on Wednesday, with our Soccer Captain, Januri Wagaarachchi leading our Premier League Soccer girls in their match vs Walford. The girls played through tough conditions, with consistent rain throughout the first half. This didn’t slow our scoring, or the cheering from the spectators. Running out eventual winners 8-1. This was a great start to our defence of the overall Winter Intercol Trophy, with Badminton, Hockey and Netball to take place on Saturday morning and then Aussie Rules to wrap things up next Friday.
Annie Wins Gold at Para Surfing Titles
Annie Goldsmith continues to turn heads amongst the Para Surfing community, taking out Gold in the Prone Assist Device Classification at the Australian Para Titles, held in Port Macquarie earlier this month. Annie’s latest win has earned her selection in the Australian National Team, where she and her team will join the world’s best Para Surfing Athletes, as they compete in the International Surfing Association World Para Surfing Championships in California in November.

Evie Represents SA in Karate
In November 2023, Evie competed in the GKR National Karate Tournament in Brisbane, participating in the age 10-and-under category for her belt grade. She achieved a gold medal in Kata (a demonstration of martial arts skills and movements) and a silver medal in Kumite (combat).
As a result of her outstanding performance, Evie qualified to represent South Australia and Australia in the GKR World Karate Tournament, which was held in Sydney.
Of over 1,200 competitors of various ages and belt grades from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and the United Kingdom, Evie achieved 4th place, which is truly remarkable! Congratulations Evie, we are so proud of you!
