A Roaring Success!
There can be no doubt that Hear me Roar was a huge success! Our vision of bringing together the entire Saints community was fully realised in a packed-out audience, including our current cohort, Old Scholars, current and former staff, current and former parents, past classroom music staff and instrumental tutors, as well as many prospective parents.
Together we celebrated 130 years of incredible music-making and 130 years of educating the young women of tomorrow. Through history, heart and hilarity, our guest artists Amelia Ryan and Libby O’Donovan provided a nostalgic and uplifting homage to the women who blazed trails for generations of women to come. Our Old Scholars and current musicians carried on the celebration of female empowerment through song, showcasing the exceptional music program that has long been a hallmark of Saints Girls.

IB Diploma at Saints Girls
In April, the IB conducted its first university survey to gather insights from admissions officers at universities around the globe. With IB transcripts sent to over 4,500 universities each year, understanding these institutions’ perspectives on and experiences with IB students and their applications is crucial.
Over 700 university staff members from 625 universities responded, representing 34% of universities registered to receive IB results. The survey covered a wide range of topics including experiences with IB transcripts and overall perception of IB students.
IB in comparison to other systems: 42% of respondents rated an IB education as better than most other education systems in preparing students for university, with 34% ranking it among the best.

Out of the Blue Journal – Submissions Close Tonight
We have extended the deadline for submissions for the Out of the Blue Arts Journal. The Journal celebrates our School community’s talented artists and is produced entirely by the student committee! The pages contain beautiful paintings, deep and compelling poems, inspiring music and countless other creative endeavours.
We are looking for students from Reception to Year 12, Old Scholars, and staff to submit art for a chance to be featured in this year’s Journal. There are no limits to the type of art allowed, as long as it is an original work.
To enter your artwork, you can place a physical copy in the submission boxes in either the Junior School classrooms or the ones located around the Middle School, or you can email a digital copy to outoftheblue@stpetersgirls.sa.edu.au. For all submissions, please fill out and attach this submission form. Entries now close on Friday 27 September (end of Term 3) so get your artwork in!
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Out of the Blue Arts Journal, which coincides with the School’s 130th anniversary, so we hope to see submissions to make this special edition a standout! At Saints Girls, we value the importance of art and creativity, and we hope that through this project, we can continue to share the talent and voices of our community for years to come.
