Sisterhood at Saints Girls
Teddy Bear Picnic
On Monday, the Year 12s joined the Mid-Year Reception, Reception and Year 1 girls for a Teddy Bear Picnic on the lawns. With our bears by our side, we enjoyed lunch together, chatted, and shared plenty of smiles. It was a lovely chance for everyone to slow down, connect, and spend time with the youngest members of our School community. A special thank you to Mrs McGregor who organised the teddy bear cupcakes that everyone loved!
For the Year 12s, the picnic held a touch of sentiment too; while the younger girls are just beginning their school journey, we are preparing to say goodbye to ours. Being able to sit with them reminded us of how far we’ve come since our very first days at school and how much we have grown in that time.

Year 12 and Reception Play Day
This week, our Year 12 students enjoyed a heart-warming session in the playground with our Reception girls. It was a wonderful opportunity for our oldest and youngest Saints Girls to come together, share laughter, and build connections across the year levels. The energy was infectious, with the Reception students relishing the chance to play alongside “the big girls,” and the Year 12s rediscovering the joy of playground fun, forgetting their studies for a brief time. These moments highlight the role-modelling and special bonds that exist within our wonderful school community.

Year 6 Debating
Our Year 6 Blue and Green Team just finished the season with a bang. We were excited that the Blue Team advanced to the quarterfinal rounds. While the Blue Team did not win our quarter-final debate, all of our students represented our School so well throughout this final debate. All Year 6 students have made remarkable progress in their debating skills, especially considering none of them had debated before this year.
We had a fun debating team end of season lunchtime celebration party with cake and drinks. Our celebration had a joyful vibe, given all the hard work we put in throughout Terms 2 and 3. We celebrated our wins and losses, as well as lessons learned along the way about teamwork, critical thinking, and public speaking.
A special thanks goes to Charlotte Trude, who as a student coach, went above and beyond in connecting with the girls and encouraging them. We encourage all 2025 Year 6 debaters to continue with this challenging and rewarding extracurricular opportunity in future Middle and Senior School. Thank you to families for your support as well.
