Saints Sports Week

Last week, we celebrated Saints Sports Week! We started off with a nutrition activity, where all the Sports Captains made various snacks for students to try. Next, there were two craft activities aimed at the Junior School. The girls up-cycled old sports equipment such as tennis balls into fun Christmas tree ornaments which was a great way to recycle old materials. On Tuesday, a thrilling staff verse student AFL 9’s game took place on the oval, where the staff took the win! Lastly, the Middle and Senior school girls took part in an informative talk from Dr Marlow, who myth-busted information about periods. There was also a Q&A session at the end to answer anonymous questions from the students. Overall, it was an amazing week action-packed with valuable information the girls can hopefully implement into their everyday routines!

Saints Play in the IGSSA Hockey Grand Final

The Open A Hockey team finished off their season with a Grand Final against Pembroke for the second year in a row. The girls fought hard, defended strongly and played with the energy and talent they had brought all season. Unfortunately, Saints did not win, but it was so great to see how far the girls have come as hockey players and as a team. The support from the crowd was a stand out, helping the girls play with a sense of pride for the School community. A special shout-out to Olivia Park, Winnie Vartuli, Sophia Langley, Ava Field and Leah Huynh, who, along with me, played our last school hockey game ever!
