IGSSA Swimming Carnival
On Tuesday 10 March, 22 students from Years 6 to 12 proudly represented St Peter’s Girls’ School at the IGSSA Swimming Carnival held at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre, competing against seven other schools.
Several of our swimmers had competed at the South Australian State Championships over the long weekend. Despite this, the team stepped up impressively, delivering strong performances and demonstrating fantastic school spirit throughout the day.
Saints Girls had a number of outstanding results, with our Under 13, Under 14 and Under 15 relay teams dominating the 4x50m freestyle relays, all finishing within thetop two places. In individual events, Ella Pearce placed first in the Open Girls 50m Breaststroke with an almost record-breaking time.
Overall, the team achieved an excellent result, with the Under 14 age group winning their division and Saints Girls finishing third overall out of eight competing schools.
We congratulate the following students who represented the school with pride: Annabelle Birdsey, Tilly Birmingham, Milla Everitt, Isla Fahey, Lauren Fuller, Emma Gu, Lucy Hawkes, Victoria Hii, Emma Humzy-Hancock, Devmee Kulatunga, Ruby Marschall, Kayla Medefindt, Himangee Meemeduma, Ella Pearce, Natalia Quinn, Emily Robinson, Holly Robinson, Chloe Sturt, Juliette Tang, Emily Wang, Angelina Zhang and Ava Zigelmann.

Congratulations to all swimmers on an outstanding day in the pool.
