Mindlab Olympics
On Friday 8 August, eight of our students proudly represented our School at the Mindlab Olympics held at Wilderness School, competing against nine other schools in a day full of challenge, strategy, and fun. The girls approached each game with confidence and grace.
Throughout the competition, they developed valuable skills. They learnt the importance of strategy, how to win and lose with dignity, and how to manage nerves under pressure. It was a fantastic opportunity for all involved to grow both intellectually and personally.
We are proud to share the following achievements:
- Angela Shi – Equal 2nd in Division 1 Abalone
- Ella Nelson – 2nd in Division 1 Checkers
- Jiaen Lu – 3rd in Premier Abalone
- Harper Nguyen – 2nd in Premier Quoridor
- Sophie Gu – Equal 1st in Premier Checkers
- Emma Brooks – Equal 3rd in Division 1 Octi
- St Peter’s Girls Division 1 Team (Ella Nelson, Emma Brooks, Shelley Cui, Kate Yin) – 3rd in overall competition
Congratulations to all the girls for their hard work, effort, and achievements. You represented the school with pride and integrity. We hope to see many of you return to compete again next year!

Year 6 Debating
We are very excited to announce that our Year 6 debating teams won both of their debates on the same night on 5 August at Seymour College in the Junior B division! The topic for the debate was “that generative AI does more harm than good.”
Our St Peter’s Girls’ Green team was Affirmative and successfully debated against the St Thomas Goodwood Gold team. Our St Peter’s Girls’ Blue team was Negative and successfully debated against the St Thomas Goodwood White team. Each of the Year 6 debating girls have come so far this season as each of them are new to this competition. Charlotte Trude from our Year 12 cohort has valiantly support all students as an associate debating coach. Debating students are learning key skills about public speaking, logic, research, and team work. Regardless of a win or loss on the night, I am proud to say our Year 6 debating students continue to represent our School well.
