Year 6 Exhibition
Last week, the Year 6 students celebrated the culmination of their primary years journey, showcasing their growth, learning, and incredible potential. This year’s exhibition revolved around a powerful central idea: “Courage, creativity and compassion can inspire innovative thinking.”
The evening opened with student performances showcasing these school values.
Year 6 singers highlighted the value of creativity. The song they chose to sing was ‘Try Everything’ from the movie Zootopia. To showcase the value of compassion a group of students created a dance that reflected the Solar Buddy Project for which the Junior School raised money. The final group performance was a presentation of the poem ‘It couldn’t be done’ by Edgar Guest.
Parents and guests then explored the student projects, witnessing a remarkable range of innovative thinking. From environmental initiatives to social justice campaigns and technological solutions to artistic expressions – each project reflected the beautiful synthesis of courage, creativity, and compassion.
The Year 6s embodied the IB Learner Profile and developed vital approaches to learning that will serve them well beyond this exhibition.
‘I hope others may be influenced to spend more time thinking about the advice myths can give one about today’s community and societal norms.’
Kimaya Anand
‘I hope that people are influenced through my work by understanding the significance of working and service animals and caring about their own well-being.’
Sophie Hay
‘I really enjoyed the process as a whole and I know that I influenced some people who visited my exhibition.’

St Peter’s Boys’ Visit
Last Friday, the Year 4s hosted St Peter’s Boys’ School for the morning.
The Year 4s participated in a variety of engaging activities including batting and bowling techniques in a cricket skills workshop and tested their agility and coordination through a range of ball skills activities. Laughter and cheers echoed across the oval.
Indoors, the Year 4s played a Mario Kart E-Games Tournament, as well as the MindLab Games Mancala and Treasure Island, sparking creativity and strategic thinking.
It was wonderful to make new connections across the schools, with students demonstrating fabulous teamwork and communication with one another.
