Celebrating 130 Years of the School
On Saturday 26 October, our School community gathered to celebrate St Peter’s Girls’ School’s 130 year birthday.
Hosted at the Adelaide Oval we were blessed with great weather, hospitality, and company. We welcomed Lisa Dunlop, (Selwyn, 1995) as our MC. Lisa shared with all, the opportunities she embraced as a student and the impact her education at Saints afforded her when she entered the real world. Lisa reflected on the care and forethought in the ongoing development of the School, and the delight in remaining connected via her goddaughter, Lucy, a current student. As a mother of boys, it is through the lens of Lucy she stays connected to our School today, attending musicals, sports events, and special friends’ days. After graduating 29 years ago, Lisa further congratulated the School on continuing to guide the Girls to remain grounded and be open to opportunities presented to them while at School.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our guests, families, Old Scholars and staff who contributed to making this celebration a success, including our supporters and donors:
- NOVATECH – Leko and Renae Novakovic for the technical support
- Maria Perrone – for the Jurlique products
- Verdun Wines – Sandy, Bob and Danielle Voumard from Verdun Park Wines
- Rachel Maddern – Tunki Dining Voucher
- The Fahey Family – Momoda Dining Voucher
- Victoria and David Braithwaite – 5 x 100 Vouchers from the Family Cook
- Susanna Parkinson for 2 x OSX Personal Training Packages.
Your longstanding generosity was well received and added to the celebration of this wonderful milestone. We are thankful for the strong community that surrounds us. Here’s to many more years of success together!
