A Day of Discovery: Exploring Bold Futures at Girls in Tech Expo
Over the years, Girls in Tech has grown into a signature learning experience that reflects our commitment to excellence, innovation and future-focused education. With the Expo taking place in Week 5 on Thursday 26 February, excitement is already building as we prepare to welcome more than 250 Year 5 and 6 students from eight partner schools across Adelaide
Designed especially for our Year 5 and 6 students, the Expo will provide hands-on access to emerging technologies and real-world problem solving. Through immersive workshops in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity and engineering, students will experience how classroom learning connects to high-growth careers and global industries. At this important stage, the Expo helps spark confidence early, so our girls move into secondary school thinking, “This is for me — and I can do this.”
A highlight of the day will be the Future Me – Big Sister Chat Zone in the Innovation Hub. Here, students will connect with inspiring women who were in their shoes and are now thriving as entrepreneurs, professionals in technology and engineering fields. Their stories bring possibility to life — showing our girls that leadership in STEM is achievable, diverse and within reach.
To extend this impact across the School, Middle and Senior students are also invited to meet with these inspiring women for bespoke STEM careers conversations between 12:30 and 1pm, tailored to individual interests and future pathways. Any students wishing to connect with our STEM mentors are encouraged to contact Ms Farr in advance.
Girls in Tech brings together joy, challenge and aspiration. Through exceptional experiences and meaningful mentorship, our students will build the confidence, capability and vision to become the innovators, problem-solvers and leaders of tomorrow. Check out the video below of Girls in Tech 2025!
