Celebrating Our School Community: Friends, Connections, and the Generations Breakfast
As we move into the new school year, it is important to recognise and celebrate the strong, vibrant community that makes our School such a special place for all our students, from Early Years through to Year 12. This was evident with close to 300 attending the Welcome to 2025 at Saints Girls last week.
At the heart of our School are our dedicated Parents, Volunteers, Year Level Parent Representatives, and Friends of Groups. All involved in a variety of activities that benefit our School and the broader community, and this includes our Old Scholar community too.
This term, we welcome back Friends of Sport, Friends of Arts, Friends of Rowing and our Parent Year Level Representatives, and Volunteers. All play an important role, enriching the experience of our students, whilst strengthening our School spirit and fostering a sense of belonging for each other. For many families, new friendships develop, which last beyond their time here at Saints Girls.

Congratulations to Heidi!
Each year the Australian Institute of Physics (SA Branch) awards a Bronze Bragg Medal to the student who achieves the highest result in Physics in IB Higher Level Physics. The medal is named after William Henry Bragg and William Lawrence Bragg, who shared the 1915 Nobel Prize in Physics and who have a close connection to South Australia.
Our own Heidi Gong is awarded the Bronze Bragg Medal this year! Heidi is undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering at UNSW.
Congratulations Heidi!

Generations Breakfast – A Celebration of Generational Connections
One of the most exciting events coming up is our Generations Breakfast on 6 March. This event is open to all students with a generational connection to the School. It’s a wonderful opportunity for current students to connect with past generations, share stories, and reflect on how our School has grown and evolved over the years. The Generations Breakfast is all about building relationships across different age groups, celebrating shared history, and strengthening the sense of community that defines us.
We look forward to seeing many familiar faces, as well as welcoming new ones, as we continue to nurture our School’s traditions and build connections that will last for generations to come.
Thank you to all our community members who contribute to making our School a place where every student can thrive.
To our new families from ELC to Senior School, welcome! If you want to know more about building connections with families and friends of group, I welcome a conversation.
