Policy Update – CARE 012 Code of Conduct for parents, extended family, guardians, significant others, carers, volunteers and visitors

Thank you to those families who participated in the review process of our Code of Conduct. We have now updated the policy. Please click here to view the revised version.

We would like to highlight a few key updates, particularly to the appropriate use of technology and social media, as well as how to raise grievances respectfully.

The updated Code of Conduct outlines expectations on how parents should use technology and engage on social media. We strongly request that photos, videos, or other recordings of staff members, parents, or students not be taken without their consent.

Please be aware that certain performances have copywrite and the School along with their families are not permitted to film or take any footage.

While we understand that parents may wish to capture special moments to share with family and friends, we request that any content (including personal details, contact information, images, and recordings) involving any member of the School community not be published online without explicit consent. If a member of the community asks for content to be removed, we respectfully ask that you honour their request promptly.

Parents should also know that the School is committed to addressing any concerns promptly. We will acknowledge concerns within two business days, however, some issues may take longer to address.

The updated Code of Conduct Policy can be accessed on myLink under ‘School Documents.’ An example of how to locate all policies is provided below. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this update, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Swimming Carnival 2025

We’re excited to announce the details for our 2025 Swimming Carnival. These events are a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their swimming skills, participate in friendly competition, and demonstrate their House spirit. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend and cheer on our swimmers.

Please note that due to renovations at the North Adelaide Aquatic Centre, we have adjusted our usual arrangements. The Years 7 to 12 Carnival has been relocated to the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, while a separate carnival for Years 4 to 6 will be held at Norwood Outdoor Pool, as the Marion venue is not suitable for younger students.

New School Uniform Options

In response to our 2022 whole-School survey of students, parents and staff, an option for our students to wear shorts in the summer and trousers in the winter, was strongly suggested. The School has taken a couple of years to work through how best to accommodate these wishes while upholding the uniform that our community takes great pride in. After conversations with old scholars, staff, parents and most importantly students, we are happy to announce that from Winter 2025, Junior, Middle and Senior girls will have the option to wear trousers with their winter shirts and from Summer 2025, culottes and a summer blouse will be available. We want to reassure you that these are optional items. Students can still choose to wear the current winter skirt or pinafore and the summer dresses.

Jess Lambert – School Shop Manager is working with our suppliers, and we will share samples and estimated stock arrival times with the community later this term.

At Monday’s Middle and Senior School Assembly, this information will also be shared with the girls.

School Shop Opening Hours
