Dance Ultra Regional Competition Winners!

On Wednesday, 43 dance students from Years 7 to 12 travelled to Immanuel College for the annual Dance Ultra Competition, which celebrates dance in schools.  The students have been incredibly committed to learning and perfecting their routines in just four short weeks! Giving up their lunchtimes and Sundays, they have worked together with a genuine love for dance and performance.

I am incredibly proud of how the dancers supported each other, as well as cheering all day for other schools too. The results are a testament to their hard work, discipline and the flourishing dance program here at Saints Girls.

Congratulations to the Senior Jazz, Senior Musical Theatre and Middle School Lyrical teams who all won first place and will represent our School at the Finals on 26 August.

Our Stage 2 Dance team performed beautifully in the Senior Lyrical section, preparing them for their final performance assessment later this term. We were all very proud of Hannah Beaumont, who represented Saints Girls in the Senior Contemporary solo section.

Lilly Cramp received first place for her dynamic and energetic Jazz solo section, and Alyssa Walpole and Zoe Papageorgiou wowed everyone with their impressive technique and emotional delivery of their lyrical duo, also gaining first place.  Lilly, Alyssa and Zoe will also compete at the State Finals.

To top of a wonderfully successful day, the Middle School Lyrical Troupe “For Ukraine” won the judge’s choice award overall.

An incredibly inspiring day of dance! We can’t wait to keep you updated on the next stage.
