North West Build Latest News
As Week 1 of Term 4 includes a number of significant events to celebrate our Year 12 students, a decision has been made to commence the works earlier, in Week 10, to minimise disruption.
The planned works will include :
- Paving of pathways
- Electrical infrastructure works
- Fire service installations
Chiverton Path
Please be advised that from Monday 22 September (Week 10), Partek will be carrying out paving works on the gravel pathway in front of Chiverton as pictured below.
This path will be temporarily fenced off while works are carried out and will be re-opened for the start of Term 4. The temporary fencing will be well signed to direct visitors to use an alternative path.

Car Parks
The four car parks near the fire pump shown below will be closed off from Monday 29 September until Saturday 11 October, and will be reopened for the start of Term 4. This zone will also extend approximately 1.5m into the driveway, with one-way traffic maintained. The accessible parking bays will remain open.

Bus Parks
The first three bus car parks nearest to the Partek site will be closed off for the entire holiday period, and buses will be relocated to the Bell Yett car park.
Chapel Area
A temporary exclusion zone will be established adjacent to the Chapel for the entire holiday period to enable electrical infrastructure works for the new build. This area will be temporarily fenced off and will be reopened for the start of Term 4.
Additional works will also take place around the Sister Circle, located near the Chapel. These works are required for critical fire service connections to the North West Build.
We would like to reassure our community that the Sister Circle itself will not be impacted in any way during this time.
We apologise for any inconvenience while these critical service works are being carried out and thank you for your patience.
We are committed to keeping you well-informed about the important developments concerning the ongoing North West Build and are excited to announce that we are entering the next significant phase: construction! As this building is on-site, and is large and complex, there will inevitably be some adjustments to our daily routines at the School. We want to bring these changes to your attention so you can be fully prepared. These adjustments are crucial to ensuring our community can operate smoothly and effectively during this period. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we navigate this exciting project stage.
School Plaques
In preparation for the build, we will be removing and storing the following plaques:
- Mrs Kathleen Collins (nee Ewens, Patteson 1931)
- Mrs Noeline Hormann (nee O’Donnell, Kilburn 1952)
- Mrs Meredyth Sarah AM (nee Woods, Kilburn 1954/55)
- Mary Brady Courts
- The Bowman Gate plaque and gates
Proper handling and storage ensure these valued items, which connect our present and future generations with our shared history, can be integrated back onto our grounds at the completion of the build.

Hallett Road Entrances
Adjacent the Chapel
Due to construction at the Hallett Road entrance our main School gate is no longer accessible, with a new entrance adjacent to the Chapel. Please see the below image for reference.

Ferguson Conservation Park
National Parks and the Friends of Ferguson Park have been kind enough to agree that our students can use the Ferguson Conservation Park main gate entrance on Hallett Road as an alternative access to the School. This entrance is just south of our ELC. Students and families will follow the path alongside our ELC perimeter entering the School via the tennis courts.
This entrance will also provide our families with an alternative drop off and pick up location (there is a parking lane located here on Hallett Road) to help minimise congestion in our current School car park.
