We celebrated 100 Days of School on Friday 25 July with Construction Day! Each day this week, the Reception Construction Crew have been engaged in a series of STEM challenges that build to 100. The girls wrote Number Reports to 100, collected 10×10 types of pasta using tens frames, designed bridges, followed block blueprints, built towers, completed lego challenges and counted their way around the room. This learning supports our year-long STEM focus and builds on last term’s inquiry, ‘Places can be special for a variety of reasons.’ The North West Build has been a very interesting source of inspiration and we loved visiting the site as part of our learning. We are so proud of all the knowledge we are building in our Reception year!
