Choosing an all-girls’ education is more than a preference – it’s a powerful decision that shapes the way your daughter will learn, grow and lead.
At St Peter’s Girls’ School, this choice unlocks a world of opportunity. It means stepping into a space where, quite simply, girls are the focus. Their voices are amplified, and their potential is championed in every lesson, every activity and every moment.
We hope everyone had a wonderful and recuperative three-week break. Semester One was incredibly eventful, and Semester Two promises to be equally engaging.
Before we look ahead, we must celebrate an outstanding achievement from last term. Congratulations to our exceptional Year 9 da Vinci Decathlon team for their remarkable first place victory at the national competition! This exceptional result represents the best performance ever achieved by a South Australian team. We are immensely proud of the students’ dedication, teamwork, passion and creativity. Our heartfelt thanks to the committed staff who provided exceptional support and guidance throughout.
Term 3 brings together meaningful events that showcase our vibrant school community and dedication to learning excellence. We kick off with IGSSA Pink Round in week 2, uniting in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Week. This vital initiative raises awareness and essential funds for the Breast Cancer Network Australia. The whole School community will participate, with staff and students receiving pink chest ribbons to wear. Students participating in winter sports will wear pink hair ribbons, and can wear pink socks to show their support.
Our celebration of literacy takes centre stage during Book Week, where imagination comes alive through engaging storytelling, enriching reading activities, and creative presentations. We look forward to welcoming our ELC and Junior School families for the Book Week Parades and celebrations – a truly special occasion for our entire community.
We will embrace discovery during Science Week, where curiosity meets hands-on learning. Through fascinating experiments and interactive demonstrations, our students will explore the wonders of science while developing their analytical and investigative skills.
These events exemplify the diverse and enriching learning experiences that define our School community. We look forward to witnessing these events and many more throughout the term. Please keep an eye out in eNews for all key dates and important information regarding these events and others.
We wish everyone a wonderful, fulfilling Term 3!
