Year 5 Production 2024

Excitement is building for the Year 5 Musical Anastasia.

This dazzling show will transport the audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past.

Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer, determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a loveable ex-aristocrat. Together they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love and family.

We warmly welcome the St Peter’s Girls’ community to purchase tickets for this amazing show. There are two matinee (1.15pm) and two evening performances (7pm) on 26 and 27 September in the Jeffreys Linn Arts Centre at St Peter’s Girls’ School.

Tickets go on sale from Monday 26 August, Click here to book.

We look forward to showcasing the extraordinary talents of our students!

Receptions – Our Youngest Scientists!

Last week was National Science Week and we worked with Lene, our Scientist in Residence, to launch our investigations! Lene worked with us to develop our understanding of how scientists use magnifying glasses and microscopes to see objects in close-up zoom and understand their structure. We looked at different flowers and leaves and then drew our own. We will build upon this knowledge through our unit of inquiry.

Throughout the week, we used ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ as inspiration to explore Science, Maths and English. During our morning activities, we created our own caterpillars and butterflies with plasticine and have brought them home. We crafted hungry caterpillars while sharpening our scissor skills. We patterned and sequenced using the story cards and practiced recalling the days of the week. We collected data from the storybook and created a tally to record our findings and then sorted and analysed this data to discover that The Very Hungry Caterpillar ate more fruit than human food!
