Junior School Book Week
Monday 19 – Friday 23 August
Dress Up Day will be held on Friday 23 August. This year’s theme is ‘Reading is Magic.’ Junior School students are invited to come dressed as a book character or a character that fits this year’s theme. The students will parade their costumes along the pathway to the Chapel from 8.35am, and families are welcome to come and watch. The students will also be involved in an assembly following the parade, which will have capacity for students only.
We look forward to celebrating Book Week 2024!
Receptions go ‘Superluminal’ at the SA Museum
We were lucky to have enjoyed an amazing excursion on Wednesday to the SA Museum for ‘Superluminal’. Upon entering ‘Superluminal’ we received colour-changing lanterns to use throughout the installation. Guided by the performer, we journeyed through five interactive spaces to reveal hidden animal tracks and discover animals from the past, present and possible future. We created mythical creatures and brought them to life with recorded sounds. We would like to extend our thanks to the parent volunteers who accompanied us. This extraordinary experience provided a wonderful provocation to our Sharing the Planet unit of inquiry as we explore the central idea Living things have needs to grow and survive.
