Mathea wins Gold Prize for Piano
Congratulations to Mathea Zhong (Year 6) who recently participated in the 2026 Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition. She was awarded the Gold Prize in the Young Amateur Group YM4 (Age 11), for performing a Diploma piece from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music category.
This piano competition is a highly professional and competitive event. The competition consists of two rounds of evaluation, and only the top six prizes are awarded in each category. If the required score standard is not met, certain prizes may be left vacant. Receiving a prize represents a significant level of artistic achievement and musical excellence.
