Gym Floor Defect Update
The School has been working collaboratively with its advisors to fully assess the issue and determine the most appropriate remedial solution. It has been determined that the gym floor will be replaced with a new floor. Partek has now secured a high-quality replacement floor to be installed.
Remedial works are scheduled to commence this week, beginning with the removal of the existing floor. The new flooring will then be delivered and allowed to acclimatise prior to installation, ensuring the best possible outcome for the Centre.
At this stage, we have been advised that these works will cause minimal disruption to School operations. If there is a change to this, we will let you know.
Site Access and Safety
The Emily Centre remains an active building site and must not be accessed. This is essential to ensure the safety of all members of the community.
Traffic, Gates and Transport Arrangements
The gate on Hallett Road will reopen, while the Ferguson Park gate will be closed on an ongoing basis.
Preparing for the Move
Work is continuing on a detailed relocation plan to ensure staff, furniture and equipment are moved into the Emily Centre as soon as practicable and with minimal disruption to School operations. Further updates will be shared as timelines are confirmed.
