Saints Girls’ Wellbeing Framework
We are excited to share our Wellbeing Framework with the community. This framework and accompanying definition will act as a guide for all that we do in the space of student wellbeing here at St Peter’s Girls’ to ensure the best outcomes for our girls.
Commencing in mid-2024, this project has involved students from the Junior School through to the Senior School from the beginning. Initially the girls provided words, sentiments and insights on what they believed wellbeing looked like or what they wanted wellbeing to be at Saints. Staff were also consulted and provided feedback before once again taking the draft finished product back to the girls. These final workshops with students generated excellent conversation and demonstrated that the girls could understand, relate to and explain the framework and definition in their own words with reference to the daily lives. Our definition reads…
‘At St Peter’s Girls’ School, student wellbeing is defined as having a positive sense of self-worth, the confidence and skills to embrace challenges and a sense of belonging to our community.
Through a holistic approach to their educational journey, our girls are supported to maintain healthy habits and routines, to challenge themselves for continual growth and to reflect to ensure they develop into young people who are courageous, creative and compassionate.’
With a deliberate connection to our values of courage, creativity and compassion, our girls are supported to embrace challenges for personal growth, to maintain positive healthy habits while encouraging their sense of belonging to our community.
Our framework has our girls at the core, closely surrounded by our values. As the circle’s move outwards, programs such as #EmpowHer, URSTRONG and Service Learning serve as a reminder of the ways in which we can deliver wellbeing content. Finally, the outer circle displays the skills and attributes we believe our girls will develop. Known as the Social and Emotional skills, these are recognised globally as attributes of which we aspire young people to develop and build upon throughout their educational journey.
This Framework is intended not to create more work or standalone moments but rather to serve as guide or compass to make sure that current practice and future ideas align. This will also help to ensure that all Sub Schools are taking a similar approach and achieving the same outcomes which will in turn provide greater consistency for a student across their school journey.
We look forward to sharing more wellbeing content, curriculum and experiences with families throughout the year as we work together to provide our girls with the best opportunities possible.

Lunar New Year Wish
The Lunar New Year lunch was a wonderful opportunity for International students to enjoy a taste of home, connect with new classmates, and uphold the tradition of spending time with others during the holiday. There were also activities such as tying traditional Chinese knots, which symbolise prosperity, luck, and love, and writing the character for “luck” in Chinese using a traditional calligraphy brush.
This is the Year of the Fire Horse, which represents a fast-paced year filled with heightened energy. The Year of the Fire Horse is often described as a year of change and transformation.
I hope everyone had a joyful Lunar New Year, and may this year be filled with good health, happiness, and good fortune.
